Join us in our mission to revive Trolii's once vibrant heritage taro patch! After years of abandonment, nature has reclaimed its space, but with love and care, we can restore this beautiful piece of history. Let's work together to bring back the lush greenery and soft fertile grounds that once made Trolii's wetlands so breathtaking. Together, we can make a difference and preserve our cultural heritage for generations to come.
At the heart of Trolii lies the sacred heritage taro patch of Clan Uudes—a testament to our rich history and unwavering devotion. Passed down through generations, it holds the essence of our clan's spirit, a connection to our ancestors and the land they cherished. With reverence and determination, we protect and preserve it, for it is not just a patch of earth, but a living legacy woven into the fabric of our identity. May its roots run deep, anchoring us to our past and guiding us into the future.
As we continue the sacred work of reviving our ancestral taro patch, the spirit of community blossoms all around us. Children run freely through the lush green paths, their laughter dancing in the air. Mothers move with grace and purpose, making sure every worker is nourished and cared for — a quiet reflection of the love that binds us together.
Music fills the land, joy flows through every corner, and hearts beat with pride and hope. This is more than restoration — this is a celebration of our heritage, our unity, and our future.
We are proud to host Children’s Heritage Programs, where kids can explore our traditions, feel the spirit of our ancestors, and learn the cultural wisdom that lives in the land.
If you’d like your children to join and experience this sacred connection, contact us. Let them walk the path of those who came before — and help carry the story forward.

The Sacred Stream of Trolii — The Story of Itelbang
High in the royal lands of Trolii, Melekeok, flows a stream so ancient, so pure, and so sacred that its name is spoken with reverence — Itelbang.
Itelbang is not just a stream. It is a living spirit. It has flowed since the time of the gods, long before roads were carved or houses built. It winds gently through the land where our ancestors once lived, worked, and prayed. For generations, this stream served as a water source for the High Chiefs of Palau, especially those of the royal lineage of the Udes Clan.
The old ones say that Omeuachel ra Itelbang is a gift from the heavens, a guardian stream meant to nourish the royal lands and protect the people in times of drought, war, and famine. When rain was scarce and the rivers ran low, Itelbang never stopped flowing. During World War II, when food was hard to find and life grew uncertain, the stream continued to water the taro fields — sustaining life, silently, faithfully.
Because of this, Itelbang became known as the Sacred Stream of the Gods.
No ordinary person dared to bathe, wash, or draw water from Itelbang without permission. It was prohibited to the public, for it was believed that disturbing the stream without respect would bring misfortune. Only those of royal blood and those appointed by the clan elders could approach it.
Even today, the stream remains untouched, flowing through the heart of the land like a silver thread connecting the present to the ancient past. The stones along its bed have felt the footsteps of the elders, the whisper of chants, and the quiet prayers of those seeking guidance.
In the middle of the Kekerel Ochil a Melech taro patch, Itelbang still flows — reminding us that we come from a people rooted in nature, guided by vision, and protected by sacred waters.
It is not just water — it is the holy water of our ancestors.
It is not just a stream — it is Omeuachel ra Itelbang, the sacred lifeline of our heritage.
